Grammar translation method

Well, this week was the first week of my five year in the university, I am excited for this year, on Tuesday we had our first didactic class, we were talking a little about the activities and topics that we will have this semester, we were also talking about the rules we have to meet for this semester and as a surprise we did a small diagnostic quiz to know that we both know about teaching 

We had class again with our favorite teacher 😆

On Thursday we had a small class on the topic Grammar translation method and we talked that this teaching method is no longer very used today, but it can be applied for when there is a class script in specific, this focuses more on writing and reading, you can learn language and at the same time a little general culture, this began with writings of philosophy, religion, politics and literature.  

Some characteristics of this method are: 

• Classes are taught in the mother tongue 
• Little or no atetion is given to pronunciation 
  
• It is more grammar 

And finally this method is very focused on grammar, speaking is not necessary, it is for someone who cannot structure language well.
